After your session, you are going to feel off the charts! You got all glammed, your photographer hyped you up, and the posing was effortless. You're floating around on cloud 9.
Now what?
Do these 3 things afterwards to get the most out of your experience:
1. Write Yourself a Note
Jot down your thoughts. What did you feel like beforehand? Were you nervous or excited? How did you feel during your session? What surprised you most? How did you overcome any negative thoughts? What did you think of your images? How will you use this confidence moving forward? What do you most want to remember about your day?
Don't want to write it down? Leave yourself a voice note or record a video.
One day, you'll want to look back and recall those emotions.
2. Share With a Support Person
Tell a friend about your experience. It can be an emotional process. It probably stirred up thoughts and feelings that need processing. Having a listening ear can help reinforce the positive emotions and encourage more growth. They can also help navigate any negative self-talk you held onto.
3. Keep Your Images in a Place You Can Enjoy Them
Keep your album on your nightstand. Hang that metal print above your vanity. Show off your images on your phone's lock screen. Feeling brave? Post one on social media or make it your profile picture. Your images should be enjoyed!
BONUS: Leave Your Photographer a Review!
A Google review helps support small businesses. Photographers love hearing about your experience! Maybe it will give another woman the confidence to do it herself.
